Discrete data models, networks models, geometric and topological data analysis, algebraic statistics, high-dimensional inference, structured normal means problems.

Bio:

Alessandro Rinaldo received his Ph.d. in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon under the supervision of Stephen Fienberg in 2005. He joined the Statistics Department as a visiting faculty in 2005 and in 2007 became a tenure track faculty
