Research Interests:
My research interests include the development of statistical methods for the design and analysis of data from observational studies, clinical trials and for meta-analysis. Most recently I have been working on developing methods for combining information from different study designs.
Bio:
My PhD is in Biostatistics from the U of Michigan. I have served on DSMBs and scientific advisory committees for a number of NIH and Veterans Administration studies; and have served on several NAS committees, including the Committee on National Statistics. I am an Editor-in-Chief of Statistics in Medicine. I am a Fellow of the ASA, the AAAS and an elected member of the ISI. Awards include CMUs Ryan Teaching Award, and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences' E. Dunlop Smith Award for distinguished teaching and educational service.
