A Compensator for Unknown Slowly Time-Varying Input Offsets in Continuous-Time State-Feedback Systems

We consider a class of state-feedback control systems in which there are unmodelled slowly time-varying offsets in the control action. We introduce a fast-sampling compensator which can be incorporated into the control system. We show that for sufficiently high sampling rates, this compensator virtually eliminates the effect of the unknown offsets. Performance of the compensator is illustrated in a simulation.
