The data in base0.csv and mem0.csv come from a study by Pesaran, et al. (2002, Nature Neuroscience) and were very kindly provided by Dr. Bijan Pesaran at New York University. This was a study of memory-guided eye movement (saccade) to a target. The task sequence is given in the paper: the subject fixates on a central fixation point, a cue is very briefly illuminated to indicate where the target will be, the fixation spot extinguishes and the subject moves his or her eyes. There were 8 possible targets. A total of 40 recordings were made across two animals, each recording consisting of 10-15 successful trials for each of the 8 directions. The data here are from a single successful trial to a particular target from one recording. [In the database, the target is 0, trial number 42, and recording Pmem5312.] The data in base0 and mem0 are both tetrode LFP recordings, so each file contains a set of four LFP recordings as four separate columns (separated by commas). The recordings were acquired 1 KHz, i.e., 1 observation per millisecond. The ``baseline" file base0 runs from the time of fixation until the time the cue appeared. The ``memory" file mem0 runs from the time the cue was turned off (100 milliseconds after it was turned on) until the fixation spot was turned off, signaling that the subject should make the saccade.
