The purpose of this homework is to help you review material you
learned in a previous probability course.  The questions might be
similar to problems you've solved in some previous course.  Hopefully
solving these classic problems again will refresh your memory and
build up your confidence for the new material.  In the upcoming weeks
you'll need to be able to recall and work with the tools of
probability without serious effort.

There are 5 problems in total, all stated in the postscript file.

Note: in problem 5, Exp(beta) means exponential distribution
with parameter beta.

Please staple your pages and use neat handwriting.
