- Mini-Project II: Something on log-linear models and/or logistic
regression. I will provide data and a problem; it will be due a week
after spring break.
- Mini-Project III: Your data! Nine of you indicated at the beginning
of the semester that you have data analysis problems that you might
want to work on for your third project (ORII and DADDS projects,
projects from 401 that you think you could do more with, sports,
econometrics and educational data, etc.)
-
I may be able to identify one or two other projects... You should
find something for yourself if you haven't already!
- If you are frantically looking for data for your third project, try
starting at the following Web sites and looking for something interesting:
- http://www.scs.unr.edu/~cbmr/research/data.html is a
nice place to start looking for data;
has a nice selection of raw and processed data; many of the raw data
sources are from the Federal Government. You can find these and many
other Federal data sources by starting at
http://www.fedworld.gov/.
- http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/ contains a lot of data sets also
but most are textbook data sets, rather than ``big'' living data
sets. There are also pointers to other data sources.
