The 1900 Census shows 38 y/o Isaac living in a rented house at 22 Townsend (Hill District, Pittsburgh, PA) with his wife of 15 years, 36 y/o Nettie, and their children Annie (15), Dora (12), Harry (10), "Rachael" (7, Rose), and "Israel" (5, Irwin). Month and year of birth are given for each person. The record indicates that Nettie had a sixth child who died, which family record say is Louis who died as an infant in 1896. Isaac, Nettie, and Annie were born in Russia, as were the parents' parents. These three immigrated in 1887, and only Isaac is a naturalized citizen. The other children were born in Pennsylvania. Isaac's occupation is listed as "Teacher - Hebrew". The four older children are "at school". Everyone except Israel is listed as able to read and write. Everyone except Israel and Nettie are listed as able to speak English.
Death Certificate was signed by S.I. Eber (1520 Center Ave) and said death was on 28 September 1908 from Pulmonary Tuberculosis of 4 year duration with a contributory cause of Gastritis. Place of burial is McKeesRocks on 29 September by undertaker W. L. Avner (1723 Bluff St).
