The grandparents have been married for 42 years and Rebecca had had 3 children, all of whom are living. Benjamin and his brother were born in the US, but his father, sister, grandparents and grandparents' parents were born in Russia. Harris is listed as a tailor who has been in the US 9 years and is naturalized. Etta is listed as having been in the US 8 years, the the grandparents 5 years. Grandpa is a junk dealer. Their mother tongue is Yiddish. Harris is a merchant employer at a general store. Benjamin is a merchant employer at a clothing store. Louis is a merchant working on his "own account" at a general store. Lazarus is a helper at a high school.

In the 1930 Census 33 y/o Benjamin is renting for $45/month at 47 Pleasant Street in Danbury, Connecticut with his wife Ida (30) and daughters Elise (5) and Marion (1). They have been married for eight years and own a radio. Benjamin was born in Connecticut and Ida in New York, and their parents were all born in Russia. Benjamin is the proprietor of a retail fruit store. Also living in the house is their 17 year old maid, Victoria Prybylski, who was born in Pennsylvania to Polish parents.
