In the 1900 Census 11 y/o Hyman is living at 686 Paulina St in Chicago with father Louis (33), mother Ida (29) and sisters Rosa (8), Bessie (5) and Silvia (2). The parents have been married for 12 years. The parents came from "Poland (R)" as did their parents. Louis and Ida immigrated in 1891 and Louis is naturalized. Louis works in a printing office. The three older children are all at school.

In the 1910 Census 21 y/o Hyman is living at 1744 W. Division St in Chicago, with father Louis (43), mother Ida (41), sisters Rose (18), Bessie (15) and Sylva (11) and brother Lester (5). His parents are "Rus. Yiddish" as are their parents. Louis and Ida have been married for 23 years. All of the children were born in Illinois. Louis and Ida immigrated in 1889 and Louis is naturalized. They speak English. Louis and Hyman are printers in a shop that Hyman owns. Rose is a stenographer in an office. All can read and write English.

This is probably Hyman's WWI draft card. He lists date of birth as 1 April 1890 and place of birth as Chicago, Il. He is a printer for L. Schlesinger & Co on W. Division St. He is "sole support of wife and baby". He is medium height, slender build with blue eyes and blank hair.
