1900 Census   Living at 1112 Penn Avenus with wife Lena, son Philip, brother Thomas (and family) and parents Millie and Philip. Immigrated in 1889. Working in a shoe store.

1910 Census show 36 y/o Julius living at 1142 Penn Ave with wife Lena (26), and children Martin (9), Pearl (7), Samuel (6) and Annie (2). Also in the household are servant Julia Slezer (16) and lodgers Emily Johnston (47, seamstress), Harry Schweitzer (40, driver) and Martin Jones (21, tailor). Juilius and Lena have been married for 10 years. Julius was born in Russia where he spoke Yiddish, immigrated in 1889 and was naturalized. Lena came from "Roumania" in 1896 and spoke "Roumanian". The children were all born in Pennsylvania. Julius is a merchant employer in the clothing business.

In his WWI draft registration Julius lists his address as 55 Pride Street, his birthday as Marcfh 20, 1874, his occupation as merchant (self employed, at home address), and his nearest relative as wife Lena. He is of medium height and slender build with brown eyes and dark graying hair..

In the 1920 Census Julius (45) and Lena (37) are living at 55 Pride Street with children Martin (19), Pearl (17), Sam (15) and Anna (12). Julius arrived from Russia in 1894 and was naturalized in 1900. Lena arrived from Romania in 1900 and is also naturalized. The three youngest children are in school and all can read and write. Julius works on his own account at a clothing store and Martin is a salesman at a department store for wages.

In the 1930 Census the family is now at 136 Chesterfield Road which they rent for $65/month. 30 y/o Martin is a commercial trader for a rubber company. 25 y/o Samuel is a druggist. 23 y/o Pearl is a bookkeeper at a sash and door company. 21 y/o Anna is a stenographer (? at a Hotel). 55 yu/o Julius is now listed as a buyer at a clothing store. 47 y/o Lena is not working. The family owns a radio.
