1900 Census Immigrated in 1893. Living at 83 Spring Alley with wife Esster, children Abe, Annie and William, sister Rachel, brother-in-law James (and children) and an Italian family. Working as a junk dealer.
For several years betwen about 1903 and 1915 the scrap business is called Levinson, Schubb, and Caplan.
According to the 1910 Census 42 y/o Morris is now widowed and living at 1429 Bluff St with Abe (22), Anna M (17), William (10), Julius (7) and 18 y/o Hungarian servant Anna Zavaron. Morris works on his own account in a scrap yard, and Abe works for wages as a bookkeeper in a dry goods firm. William and Julius are in school. Anna Zavaron is illiterate.
According to the 1920 Census Morris is now married to his second wife Esther, and living in Penn Township, Westmoreland County, PA. His occupation is listed as wholesale scrap iron from his own factory. Only 17 year old Julius, who is their bookkeeper lives with them.
1930 Census: All of the kids have moved out. 62 y/o Morris is listed as proprieter of and iron and steel business. He is living at 141 Harrison Avenue East in Jeannette, PA (Penn Township). He owns the house which is worth $5000.
