Notes

1900 Census: Abraham was born in Russian Poland in May 1875, immigrated from Russian Poland in 1891 (following younger brother Jacob by one year), worked in (or owned) a furnishings store, and owned a home on Schoonmaker Street in Monessen, Rostraver, Westmoreland County.

In the 1910 Census 36 y/o Abraham was working as a clothing merchant in Monessen, Westmoreland County. He was living with his wife Dora (35), son Jesse (8) and daughter Lucy (6).

On his WWI draft registration Abraham listed his birth date as April 1874. He lists himself as a self employed merchant with a business at 521 Schoonmaker St and home at 409 McKee Ave in Monessen.

The 1920 Census calls Abraham "Abner". Perhaps he started using a different name, but I suspect this is just an error my the census taker. He is still at 409 McKee Avenue in Monessen (on the north side of the city, a block from the Monongahela River). He owns the house. He is working as a merchant in a furniture store. Now there is the implausible immigration date of 1879 with naturalization date 1898. He is living with wife Dora, daughter Lucy (16) and son Stanley (9).
